SUSTAINABILITY

Occupational Health & Safety

We are committed to ensuring the Health and Safety of all Employees, Customers, Visitors and Contractors. With the Design and Maintenance of our facilities, safe storage and handling of petroleum products are put in place as preventive measures against environmental pollution and destruction of lives and properties, through strict compliance with construction and HSSE Standards and Regulations.

Hazards are carefully and critically identified while risks are reduced as low as reasonably practicable. All employees, from those in the “High Risk Zones” to those in the “Low Risk Zones” of operations periodically undergo Occupational health and safety trainings. Upon compliance with standards and regulations, periodic and sporadic audits & inspections are carried out for continued compliance and identification of hazards. Incident Investigation Is however carried out if an accident or near-miss occurs for thorough analysis to prevent re-occurrence.
The success of TFC’s operations depends on a healthy and competent workforce. Our Occupational health policy communicates corporate expectations for identifying and managing health risks related to our operations.

Security

TFC’s robust security measures are designed to protect our personnel and facilities from operational threats and cybersecurity attacks. Our security programs are risk-based, flexible and responsive to the environments in which we operate.
Facilities undergo periodic security analyses to address potential threats. Our HSSE & I.T team continually improve our risk management methodologies, threat-assessment capabilities and technical security management processes through training programs and simulation exercises.

Environment

Our environmental management approach is guided by an understanding of the potential environmental impacts of our operations and a commitment to develop, and maintain our depot sustainably, using appropriate standards that enable us to “Protect Tomorrow. Today.”
TFC limits spills from our operations by maintaining a strong focus on risk management, operational integrity, and containment capabilities. We take a rigorous approach to managing the potential impacts of a spill on land, where we operate.

TFC has successfully implemented ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 management systems in an integrated fashion which helps in managing our potential environmental impacts, safety & security risks, and ensures quality of our systems as we fulfill compliance obligations and identify opportunities for improvement. The Health, Safety and Security of our stakeholders, as well as the wellbeing of the environment is not negotiable.
